Hey there, Vaughn Bullard here! Yep, this is often a question that I get asked. “How do I go about getting rid of a blog title below the blog in WordPress?” Why would you want to do this? “Hey, maybe you have some design issue with it or you’re really just not that verbose!”

Well, what we’re really talking about here is the Blog “Tagline” below the title in WordPress.

We’re gonna go to the WP administration pages. This is done by typing in your url of your blog followed by wp-admin. You will be prompted for your administrative username and password. Type that in and press the “Login” button.

Go all the way to the down to the bottom of our administrative menu. We’re gonna hover over this “Settings” menu and up will pop the hover menu and we’re gonna choose “General”. This will obviously bring up the “General Settings” administrative page.

All we’ve gotta do is take out the text for the tagline, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click “Save Changes”.

Then we’re going to navigate back to our WordPress home page and see that the tagline is gone! That’s how easy it is! For more info, check out my other WordPress Lessons on eHow.com.
